  1. Auto Bacci and Isadore Wilensky were partners in ownership when i worked there in the 1940s.
Very nice people to work with.
There were about 20 others working st that time.
    John was a blocker
    Eleanor was the cover maker
Joe Florence put eyeletts into covers
    Dan was the cutter
    Josephine taped covers for seams
Sometimes “Izzy” sewed visors on, he did whatever needed to be done though.
He would even watch my son Larry in the office if my babysitter didnt show.
Then i would do the finishing.
Finally they would go to the blocker

I retired from there in 1977

    1. That’s amazing information, Ruby. And wonderful that you have good memories of your time with Wilbac. Do you know if you might have any photos of the people or factory? We would love to see them and share them with readers. –Made In Chicago Museum

  2. Although they didn’t join the Big Ten until 1949, this looks suspiciously like a Michigan State University Spartans block “S” logo and even though it was still Michigan State College at that time this logo has also been used by the MSU Varsity Club since 1915.
